Elementary and early childhood teachers are among a child’s first influences. If education is your calling, prepare to positively shape children’s lives with an early childhood or elementary education degree from Bridgewater State University.

BSU began as a teacher’s college, and we pride ourselves on our history of training exceptional educators. Our early childhood education and elementary education programs are among our most popular, and they will prepare you to become an exceptional teacher of children up to age 8.

We offer a wide range of early childhood and elementary education programs through which you will:

  • Benefit from small class sizes. Complete early childhood and elementary education degree requirements in classrooms with about 25 students.
  • Take advantage of top-notch technology. BSU is a leader in applying new technology to teaching. As you complete one of our elementary or early childhood education programs, you’ll use simulators to practice teaching skills and more.
  • Gain classroom experience. While working toward your early childhood or elementary education degree, you’ll observe teachers, student teach and more.
  • Learn from experts. As you complete an early education program or elementary education degree at BSU, you’ll take classes with experienced instructors who bring their expertise and research into your courses.
